John Austin was born on New Australis, a moon orbiting New Terra, homeworld of humanity. Born into a long military tradition, John felt the patriotic call and joined the service during the Third Zith War. During the rescue of hundreds of wounded at a field hospital, Lieutenant Austin was captured and tortured, losing his eye in the process. His self sacrificing helped save over 500 wounded and 103 staff. He took control of the CENTURION's bridge during a skirmish with 3 Zith battlecrusiers successfully forcing them to retreat. He was award the Mantle of 'HERO' for successfully being awarded 40 medals for bravery. He finds solice in the stars, a trait common with New Australians who enjoy the wide open spaces of their homeland.
First Officer: Commander Alison O'Toole

Commander Alison O'Toole has had a chequered career in the Union Defence Force. Strong willed and opinionated, she has a tendancy to do what she feels is right, sometimes even before knowing all the facts. Born in the North America Confederation, New Terra, she enjoys the status of being Terran. While acting as she saw fit, she clashed with her Captain who charged her with insubordination, resulting in her being sentanced to 10 years for a 3rd offence for someone at her rank. Captain Hero, seeking a new first officer decided to take a chance and give her one final chance to prove herself before being cashiered out of the service.
Operations Officer: Lt Commander Andrew Inc

Young and impressionable is Commander Inc. Desperate to prove himself and still finds it hard that he is serving under a legend like Captain Hero. Sometimes his enthusiasm distracts him from the tast at hand, but he usually delivers the goods in the end.
Chief Medical Officer; Commander Tracy Edge

Born to well-to-do parents on New Americana, Tracey entered medical school as a prodical student. Brilliant and inventive. She soon earned the reputation as a miracle worker creating cures for many long standing diseases. To advance further in her career, Military service was a requirement, so she asked her brother to arrange a posting on a 'safe and quiet' ship. But her brother was only able to get her a position on the ship he was on, the ATLAS. She has a hated of space due to her falling victum to space sickness. Has a love of horses and research. She is counting the days until her tour is over and she can continue her research back on New Terra.
Chief Engineer; Commander Brian Edge

Older brother to the CMO, Brian has always had a knack with machines. His first love is machines, dispite his sister's attempts to 'pair him off' with eligible ladies. Finding civilian machinery limiting and mining too constrictive, he enlisted into the Union Defence Force military Academy and Duntroon Minor. Excelling inmechanical lore and quatum physics, he was head hunted by a newly promoted Captain Austin. He and the Chief pilot can often be found tweaking the engine of the CAG's fighter to get just that extra bit of sppe out of it.
Chief Of Air Group; Commander Wallace Footrot

Born to the Senator Barbera Wallace, Wally has requtation for being quite the ladies man, and either very confident or arrogent as he believes the mile high club as invented with him in mind. Always a lover of a practical joke one must be aware when the CAG is about. Born on Barranious IV, a warm tropical world he is also an excellent swimmer and surfer. Flies like he loves, by the seat of his pants and been reprimanded for buzzing the bridge many times.
Commanding Officer, Marine Detachment, UDF ATLAS; Major James William Kwistufa

The major enlisted at the start of the second Zith War and served through the entire Third Zith war. Decorated with nearly 200 medals for bravery, The major is a hands on Officer who likes to lead from the front. Taught by and hand picked to serve under legendary general, General Dallas Brubaker. Never one to mince his words but when he speaks it oftem pays to listen The Major has known Captain Hero for a very long time and if anyone could be called the major's best friend, it would be the Captain. Currently estranged from His wife of 40 years, he came out of retirement for one last tour with the Captain.
Master Sergeant Joseph Eugene Kwong

Master Sergeant Kwong is the enforcer of discipline and regulation amongst the Marine contingent on the ATLAS. He is a heavy worlder coming from a planet that has 2.5 times the gravity of New Terra, this gives him seemingly super-human strength and endurance. As the right hand of The Major, Kwong is never far from the action, and as he always says, "I'm on point. I'm always first in." If he had one weakness, it would be Terran Hamburgers, which are not sold on Kwong's homeworld due to trade regulations. When he's not working out in the ship's gym or at the rifle range, he can be found in the galley.
Belinda Tomlin

Belinda Tomlin is a twin sister to Brianna Tomlin, two sisters who were always in trouble. Brianna usually ran with bikers while Belinda had a thing for men in uniform. She met a young Lieutenant Footfrot at Defence Station 'The Somme' where the two had a turbulent whirlwind romance until another officer caught her eye. A Commander John Austin of the Carrier 'Pegasus', they met and became friend, shortly after they were inseperatible. But the call of adventure and travel always beckoned and Belinda would not commit to John Austin and appears to be more of a thorn now as she tries to keep what they had while he tries to move on. An excellent shot with the pistol, she is as dangerous as she is beautiful.
